How does online booking work in a massage salon?

The massage salon adds its treatments with their real lengths, even several versions of the same treatment: Swedish massage in 60 and 90 minutes, back massage in half an hour. Then it sets up the resources, that is, whatever is scarce. That can be the therapist, but it can also be the treatment bed or the room. On the booking link the client chooses the treatment and a free time, and immediately gets an email confirmation with a cancellation link.

Changing the sheets and airing the room between two clients is set as a separate break for each service, so the system does not offer a time you could not prepare for. Bookings arranged by phone go into the same calendar, where you see the day in a separate column for each therapist or bed.

Should you book by therapist or by treatment bed?

It depends on what runs out first. If two therapists work but there are three beds, the therapist is the bottleneck, and it is worth booking by therapist. If four therapists share two treatment rooms, the room is, and you have to book by room, otherwise two clients could get an appointment for the same room.

Which plan does a massage salon need?

For a massage therapist working alone who offers at most three treatments, the Start plan costs HUF 0, with no time limit: 1 resource, 3 services, 30 bookings a month. If you offer the same treatment in several lengths, each counts as a separate service, so the three places fill up quickly.

The Pro plan costs HUF 3,990 a month or HUF 39,900 a year: up to 3 resources, unlimited services and bookings, reminder emails, and group bookings too, if several clients can sign up for one session. If you have four or more therapists or treatment rooms, the Business plan costs HUF 5,990 a month, with unlimited resources. None of the plans charges a booking commission, and no VAT is added to the fees.

How do you avoid rushing between two treatments?

After a massage you need to change the bedding, air the room and take a short rest. You can set this as a break for each service, so the system only lets the next client book after the break, and the treatment length stays accurate for the client.

Also set the minimum notice for bookings. If you do not want unexpected bookings within half an hour, the minimum notice rules them out. With the booking window you also set how many days ahead clients can book at most.

If several therapists work but there are fewer treatment beds, set the working hours in the schedule so that there are never more treatments at once than beds. Clients then still see only the times that are actually free.
