Both are Hungarian online booking systems for salons. The difference lies mainly in how they charge and in SMS.

What does a month cost? A worked example
The monthly fee as a VAT-exempt sole trader pays it: we added 27% VAT to net prices and converted euro prices at HUF 400/€.

When is Salonic the better choice?
If you want to send reminders by SMS, ask for a card deposit, or need your bookings to stay in sync with your Google Calendar, Salonic can do this; FoglalGo currently cannot.
When is FoglalGo the better choice?
If you work alone or with a small team, and email confirmations and reminders are enough, FoglalGo’s monthly fee is lower, and the Start plan can be used for HUF 0 with no time limit.
Switching from Salonic to FoglalGo
- Sign up with the Start plan, without a bank card. If you work with several team members, the 3 team members included in the Pro plan replace the Smart plan and the extra calendars.
- Add your services with the same durations you used in Salonic, and enter your team members’ schedules.
- Enter the future appointments that are already booked into the FoglalGo calendar by hand. Bulk import is not available at the moment.
- If you have been sending SMS reminders, keep in mind that FoglalGo sends emails: from the Pro plan 24 hours before the appointment and, if you switch it on, one hour before.
- If you used Salonic in sync with Google Calendar, decide which one will be your main calendar. FoglalGo does not sync with Google Calendar.
- Replace your booking link, and cancel your Salonic subscription once the bookings in it have passed. Neither system has a minimum term.

Why do you quote gross prices for Salonic?
Salonic lists net prices, with 27% VAT added on top. FoglalGo’s fee is a final price from a VAT-exempt sole trader. If your business is VAT-registered and can reclaim the VAT, it is worth comparing the net prices: Salonic Smart is HUF 6,200 net, FoglalGo Pro is HUF 3,990.
Can I bring my clients over?
Bulk client import is not available at the moment. FoglalGo’s client list is built from the bookings, and you can add your regular clients by hand at their first booking. If you need help with the switch, write to info@foglalgo.com.
